UL Listed: Put simply, Listed products means stand-alone products with a specific function, tested against UL`s published and nationally-recognized standards for safety for a specific category of equipment. Products that carry the UL Listed"approval label above mean that the product has been tested by UL to nationally recognized Safety standards and has been found to be free from reasonably foreseeable risk of fire, electric shock and related hazards."

UL Recognized: UL Recognized is verified with this mark and is defined as testing and evaluation of component products that are incomplete or restricted in performance capabilities." UL Recognized products will be later used in complete end-products and systems, and may require additional installation precautions.

UL Classification: Classified products have been evaluated only for specific properties, a limited range of hazards, or suitability for use under limited conditions.
